School Feature: Check Out JR Robson School!

Marauders: Explore, Create, Achieve.
JR Robson’s Interact Club was formed this past December by students inspired by their experiences with the Vermilion Rotary Club. With 20 members and guidance from Rotarian and teacher Mr. Maier, the club has been active and impactful from the start.
They raised funds for Haying in the 30s by selling cookies and hot chocolate at the Vermilion Winter Parade, collected hygiene products for the school’s Care Closet, and gathered toys and sports gear to support another Interact group’s (Vegreville) school-building trip to Mexico.
The group also visited Vermilion Lodge, spending time with seniors and playing games—a visit they plan to repeat! Most recently, they organized a bake sale for Purple Pinkie Day, raising $315 to support polio immunization efforts worldwide.
Beyond Interact, students enjoyed ski and snowboard trips to Table Mountain and showcased their talents—Grade 10s Brogan and Jade created detailed fish and frog artwork, while Biology 30 students explored brain structure through sheep brain dissections with Mr. Bates.
JR Robson continues to empower students through leadership, creativity, and hands-on learning!
